The Feast of Divine Mercy

Jesus asked Saint Faustina to pray and work to have a Divine Mercy Sunday established on the first Sunday immediately following the Easter Sunday. The Divine Mercy Sunday is the Feast of the Divine Mercy celebrated every year.

Divine Mercy Sunday is a day of total forgiveness of sins and punishment for those who:

(1) go to Confession;
(2) receive Holy Communion;
(3) perform Deeds of Mercy, and;
(4) Trust in His Mercy.

The Diary of Saint Faustina reveals the following messages of Jesus Christ in relation to the Divine Mercy Sunday.

I desire that the first Sunday after Easter be the Feast of Mercy.
--- St. Faustina Diary, 299

... tell the whole world of My great Mercy; that whoever approaches the Fount of Life on this day will be granted complete remission of sins and punishment.
--- St. Faustina Diary, 300

On that day are open all the divine floodgates through which graces flow. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet. My Mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or of angel, will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity. Everything that exists has come forth from the very depths of My most tender Mercy. Every soul in its relation to Me contemplate My Love and Mercy throughout eternity..

The Feast of Mercy emerged from My very depths of tenderness. it is My desire that it be solemnly celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter. Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the Fount of My Mercy.
--- St. Faustina Diary, 699

Souls perish in spite of My bitter Passion. I am giving them the last hope of salvation; that is, the Feast of My Mercy. If they will not adore My Mercy, they will perish for all eternity... Tell souls about this great Mercy of Mine, because the awful day, the day of My Justice, is near.
--- St. Faustina Diary, 965

For God so loved us, He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to save us.

Jesus underwent severe pain and passion, He was crucified and died for us. He redeemed us! He saved us!

However, despite His saving sacrifice, we continuously commit repeated and willful sins. May people resist to believe & trust in Him, and many still do not know Him.

He already underwent intense passion and sacrificed His precious life to save us. Now, He is giving us one last chance --- that is to run to His Mercy, to trust in His Mercy, to glorify His Mercy.

The Love and Mercy of God is boundless for ages without end.

Jesus, He, Himself, is Love. Jesus, He, Himself, is Mercy.

Do all you possibly can for this work of My Mercy. I desire that My Mercy be worshiped, and I am giving mankind the last hope of salvation; that is, recourse to My Mercy. My Heart rejoices in this feast.
--- St. Faustina Diary, 998
